Xubuntu設定

PC

XubuntuをThinkpadX21に入れてSamsungの外部モニタ(SXGA)に接続してたのですが、ちっともSXGAになってくれない。
で、あれこれ設定をいじっててようやく対処方法がわかりました。
モニタのDepthを24→16に変えたらきちんとSXGA表示されました。なぜ直るのかは良く分かりません。。。
とりあえず備忘録としてxorg.confを貼っつけておきます。
Xubuntuのバージョンは8.04.1LocalizedとかインストールしたCD-Rに書いてました。(自分で書いたこと自体忘れている。。)
キーボードは英語配列のもの、Ctrl/Capsを入れ替えた設定になってますのでまるごとコピーは注意してください。

しかしThinkpadX21でSXGAでFirefoxなんぞ使ったら重いですなあ。メモリも最大(384MB)、HDDも一度交換してる(5年くらいまえ。。？)から素の状態よりはだいぶマシなはずですが、デスクトップとして常用するにはちょっと厳しい。
早く注文したPC来ないかなあ。
